I don't even have to try!

For much of my adult life, I have looked up to, admired and wanted to be exactly like one special person. Even when this person was scrutinized and imprisoned, I stood by with admiration and hopes that one day I would be just like her...Thats right, I'm talking about Martha!
I faithfully cook her fancy feasts, even going out of my way to find her crazy obscure ingredients, in attempts to become like Martha. I pay attention to detail in my home decor and try to surround myself with fresh flowers. I work tirelessly in my garden, carefully cultivating and nurturing it, for Martha's sake! Well you can imagine my delight when my sister sent me a link to Martha's web site, in which I discovered i don't even have to try anymore! Me and Martha are basically one in the same!

Allow me to explain. Exhibit A
These are Martha's very own cats!
Now, exhibit B
Thats right! That is Milo, and that picture was taken well over a year before I discovered Martha also painstakingly prepared birthday cake for her cat! And i have to say, I think my cake is even more creative then hers! My sister Emily disagrees and even so rudely called my cake "disgusting". Any way! The point is, Great Minds Think Alike! Or Me and Martha are both Crazy?!!! ha ha ha

My Old Time Crushes

Clint and I have been watching a lot of old movies lately. There is this old playhouse in downtown Columbus that shows an old movie every weekend. I made the mistake of telling my mom about this and she asks me every week what is playing and why I am not going to it. She LOVES old movies! Anyway, a month or so ago I reluctantly went to the theater to watch Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, being a good wife because Clint wanted to go. Anyway, I loved it! It was so funny and so fun being in the big old grand theater. The best part is at intermission the organ rises up from the stage and they play old movie music during intermission. Last night we went with a few of our friends to watch Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Yeah I know! I guess I never thought of it being an old movie, but I guess it is almost 3o years old. The theater was packed and everyone just gets so into everything. We loved it!

In addition, I live just across the street from the UA public library and I seriously go just about every day. So I'm loving watching old movies. I think the Old Time Actors are so dreamy! Of course you've got Robert Redford and Paul Newman, among many others, but here are the gents that really make me swoon. Clint will be glad that William Holden didn't make the list, Sorry mom! :)
Dana Andrews, something about him, he is just so cute!Farley Granger, may be a pretty boy, but he's my pretty boy!
And that Bloody Mary was right. Lt. Joe Cable is soxy!
