15 months

Wow! Its been a while since I've blogged. Our lives have been very busy the last few months.  We moved into a little house and I had an art exhibit that I had been working on. But now the dust is starting to settle, and I am catching up with things like blogging.  Thomas is now 15 months old and just about as cute and fun as a little boy could possibly be.  He is very curious, very mischievous and very adorable! He learns new things every day and is really just a fun little guy to have around. Here are some pics from recent happenings.
Thomas and momas at the zoo. Thomas was pretty excited to ride the train.  He loves all things that have a motor or move.  He gets pretty excited when he sees fire trucks especially. He even makes a little siren noise that is just adorable.  Helicopters are also a favorite. He has a sound for those as well.
Isn't this boy cute? Even he thinks so! :)
Thomas' hair is getting so long and thick! He has a very shaggy golden mane.
Thomas loves to get in his toy box. He also loves playing hide and seek, and he has even started hiding. He is really good at the game, and we have yet to stump him when we hide.
What a good little helper!
One of his favorite things: watching Dad mow the grass
This shot was taken by a member of the paparazzi.  He is just too cute, he can't even get in the car without being bombarded by cameras.
Thomas is getting to be a little bit better at his eating.  I have now stopped nursing him and he is starting to feed himself. (Which is very messy) But he is eating less purees and more solid foods, so that is good. He LOVES oranges most of all. The kid will freak out if he sees one and it is not for him. I have to be sneaky when I pack an orange in Clints lunch, because if Thomas sees it he will scream until he gets it.  He is doing a lot better with communicating though. He used to scream at meal time when he wanted more or was done, but now he is doing the signs for more and all done and it has helped a lot.  He also folds his little hands when it is time to pray. It is the cutest thing ever!!! I swear he didn't learn that from me, I haven't been the greatest at teaching him to fold his arms, but one day he started to do it and now he does it every time we pray. And he ends with a single clap of the hands when we say amen.
Thomas is loving having a yard to play in. We love it too! He pretty much has two little rocks in his hands at all times. He loves playing in the dirt and getting into the garden.
Thomas loves his dad. He calls him papa! It is pretty cute.  He found these business cards with clints picture on them and carried it around pointing saying papa! papa! Last month Clint worked the night shift so he would sleep during the day. Every day at 4:30 Thomas and I would go downstairs and wake Clint up.  The first day after the night shift was over Thomas went to the door to the basement right at 4:30 and kept pointing and whining at me to open the door. I really did not know why he wanted to go downstairs, because he doesn't really usually like to play there. So I opened the door and he went down right to the bed to look for his dad! He was a little confused that he wasn't there, but I thought it was so cute that Thomas knew what time to wake his dad up, and was looking forward to seeing him.
This little boy really knows how to get messy. I love my little puppy boy!

Here are a few more recent developments and interests:
-Thomas can point to a lot of his body parts.  His favorites are his tongue and his belly button
-He can say mama, papa, uh-oh, car, ball and he is trying to say a lot of other words like no (Na) and goggles (he usually says gago. I know that is a pretty random word for Thomas to say! He got it from the Dr Seuss ABC book, and he thinks of glasses as goggles) He is just about to start exploding with words though, he is really trying to say things more now.
-He is getting to be even more social and has a little friend, Lincoln, who he just loves playing with. They just run and laugh and laugh and have so much fun.  Lincoln calls Thomas Tomby.
-Thomas loves the park and the library so much. When we go for a walk and go past the library, but don't go in Thomas starts crying and crying.
-He can make a lot of really great animal sounds and can make a better piggy noise than most adults!

That is all for now! I will post again soon and put up some pictures of our house and my art show.

Happy Easter!

Thomas had so much fun with his first easter egg hunt. We hid some eggs in the front yard and let Thomas loose. (And by hid, I mean scattered eggs in plain site aross the lawn)
Thomas knew exactly what to do. He did not need any instruction whatsoever
This is so fun!!!!!
More eggs that-a-way!

Our second annual bread bunny! We had such a lovely Easter, and had so much fun with our little boy. He just makes everything a little better. Well, a lot better actually!

And for some more Thomasisms:

Thomas has recently discovered a love for cheese! He takes after his mama. The other night we had the Parmesan cheese out and Thomas kept pointed at it, so Clint put a little bit on his tray. Thomas dipped his little mouth into the pile and got this little cheesy mustach
Thomas is just such a happy little guy! He is at such a fun stage right now. He is learning a lot and is pretty proud of his "tricks". He waves to everyone, points at everything and makes a lot of playful conversation. He says "Oh-oh!" all the time and he also makes a little piggie noise which he learned from Clint. Its pretty cute. He climbs up on top of the coffee table, stands up and claps for himself too. Its funny, because I had been trying to teach Thomas how to clap for months and then one day Clint tries once and ever since Thomas has been a happy little clapper. He really likes to show off his skills, especially around the ladies, or namely my friend Jen. He is such a little charmer. Hope you all had a happy Easter!
