My Sweet Girl is 6 Months Old!

I could probably leave this post word free and this picture alone would say enough about how precious and darling this little girl is. I love her so much! What a little light she is. She has never been anything but good, happy and positive. What a joy.  Its hard to believe that she has been in our homes for half a year now! 6 months is major! I feel like the first 3 months with a baby feel like they are going to last forever, and then all of the sudden they turn 4 months old and start growing and developing like crazy. Caroline is hitting new milestones all the time and getting bigger, sillier, smarter and sweeter everyday. I must admit, along with when thomas turned six months, its a bit sad when you see how fast they grow! Luckily, Caroline still lets you snuggle and cuddle with her so she still feels like a little baby to me :)
She has the most lovely presence. There is no other way to describe her. Her smile is soft, warm and gentle. Her eyes are calm and deep. Her little laugh is even quite subtle. She's just so lovely.

So serious!
                    So seriously cute

These two together make me so happy. Isn't this picture perfect? I love them! Thomas has really grown quite fond of Caroline. He has liked her for a long time, but he really really enjoys her these days. He thinks it is so funny when she grabs at him and he LOVES it when she laughs at him. And Thomas can get this lady to laugh like no one else. Seeing that she is a baby, her sense of humor isn't always the most sophisticated, so she really thinks it is funny when Thomas shows her his chewed up food in his mouth :) Hopefully, in time she will see that is in fact not that funny. Ha ha. But it makes me so happy to see these two laughing and playing together. I think they will be good friends.
Look at the lady standing! She is getting stronger everyday. On an unrelated note, she loves Clint's beard. She likes to grab at it, it makes me happy.
A tiny girl in a big coat. Luckily it keeps her nice and toasty in this awful winter.
The tiny girl rolls! She hit this milestone a few weeks ago and she was pretty proud of herself.
Now she can play with her toys and have fun like a big girl!

Thomas was pretty proud of the lady as well!
This girl is a pretty quite soul ( Unlike her brother who always liked to exercise  his vocal cords, and was often mistaken for a baby pterodactyl) She doesn't make a whole lot of noise. One day, clint took this helicopter away from her and I could hear her from the next room over shriek out like I have never heard her before! She may be quiet, but she has her opinions!

The lady loves books! This makes her papa so happy. I think it is Clint's favorite time of the day, reading to Caroline before she goes to bed. She is always very focused on the books and just loves them.

I love this little girl so so so so much. She has such a deep and special soul, I can just feel it. What a privilege to be able to raise such a lovely and kind little woman. How lucky I am to have her!

Caroline's 5th

This tiny girl is another month older, and we love her like crazy.
Caroline loves her sleep. Sleep trumps all for this lady. She is a very easy going gal, but if she isn't well rested she becomes a bit of a damsel in distress around 5-6 o'clock. She has dethroned Clint as the families best napper.
She is just so pretty of course. She is at a really fun stage right now. She is starting to show her preferences to things. She loves books. She will laugh and smile at her stories. She really likes animal noises (The Lion and the Owls in particular) She likes peek a boo, getting tickled and being snuggled.  She does not like her bath time, sitting by herself at dinner time, or tummy time. She thinks Thomas is one funny dude. She is definitely a little less nervous around him than she was for the first few months. Thomas can make this lady laugh like no one else. She will laugh at silly things he does, like when he jumps around and does his silly tricks, and when he hides behind the curtains. Clint and I can get her to laugh by tickling her, etc, but Thomas gets her to laugh just be being himself. He is quite entertaining, after all.

This girl is so sweet. Every night, no matter how sad or tired or worn out she is when we take her to her changing table to get her ready for bed she instantly beams with a happy smile and coos and is happy as can be. She is so grateful! Its her way of saying, "Mom, Dad, thanks for taking care of me" It is one of my very favorite parts of the day.

She's finally standing with assistance!
And SOOOOO close to rolling over.
Thomas is so nice to her. He calls her the Princess. I'm not sure where he picked this up from. I've never called her princess! One day, while playing make believe he said, "I'm a digger, Mama is a dumper and Tarowine is a dozer." She started crying and Thomas said, "What's wrong, Tiny Dozer?" It made me laugh! The next day he again referred to her as "dozer" and brought her some trucks to play with. I'm not sure what Caroline will think if that nickname sticks :)  I was telling Thomas that Clint was going to take him out to to boy things and Caroline and I were going to do girl things, and he said, "No! I wanna stay with mommy and Caroline and do girl things." I said, "What are girl things you want to do?" Thomas said, "Oh, play diggers and dumpers and cranes." Hmm.... I don't remember those things from when I was a girl.  Anyway! We love this lady so much and we are lucky to have her  and her sweet, rosy, chubby, kissable cheeks!
