This sweet, silly, crazy, adorable boy just turned 2 years old! He is so much fun to have around and he is at a really fun age. Hopefully the terrible 2's aren't as terrible as I hear, because I am loving this little toddler Thomas. So here is a little update on our favorite little man.
Thomas LOVES clocks. He got this one for Christmas and he often asks to carry it around the house. I think it was his favorite Christmas present :) He drives his little cars and trucks on frequent pilgrimages to see the clock on the wall, and when he gets up to it he says, "Sshhh! Hear it!" He also loves the hickory dickory dock song.
His other favorites of the moment are the Thomas the Tank characters. He knows all of their names and take learning about them VERY seriously. He has a favorite t-shirt with Thomas on it and he wants to wear it every day! Luckily I just bought him another one for his birthday. We had to hide it when it got dirty because he would get so upset.
He is also really into Curious George these days. He watches an episode in the morning while I get ready and another after his nap while I make dinner. It is his favorite show! The Thomas and Friends show, he likes, but he sometimes gets a little too worked up or too upset about it, so it really doesn't allow me to get anything done while he watches it, so we stick to George :)
This little boy is so smart! He can count to 12! One day out of the blue he started counting his little trains. Clint and I were shocked to hear him count to 10. (He has since made it to 12) He is also starting to form a very nice little vocabulary. He is putting words together very well and very close to talking in full sentences. He will say things like, "Thomas read book" "Thomas go big bed" (He LOVES our bed, he asks to sleep in it all the time, and usually in the middle of the night he makes his way there)
Thomas also really loves to hear stories about baptism. I took him to a few baptisms for the activities girls and he just loved watching it. He loves the "John the Baptist" song and likes to see the pictures in his Book of Mormon Stories of people getting baptized.
He is still a tiny little squirt, but FINALLY grew out of his 12 month clothes. He has been wearing those things for over a year now, so I was happy to box them up.
He is still a very picky eater. His diet consists of applesauce, yogurt, fruit, crackers and cheese. Oh and Olives. go figure! He is a mystery that boy.
Other things he loves: Tunnels, trucks, cookies, chocolate, brownies ( see a trend?) playing with his best friend Lincoln, and going to the library.
He is seriously the sweetest little boy you'll ever meet!
Thomas got this awesome digger from his grammy for his birthday. It was a big hit!
What a handsome boy looking so grown up! ( And just like his dad)
This is Thomas with my good friend Jen. (Sorry the picture is a bit blurry) Thomas LOVES Jen. He has a little crush on her. He see's girls with long dark hair out in the stores and hopes it is Jen. The other day he thought the cashier at the store was Jen. I told him, well she just looks a little like Jen. But when she gave us our receipt he said, "Thank you, Jen!" He is so funny. Jen came over to celebrate his b-day with him and he insisted she sit right next to him. In the middle of dinner Thomas said, "Jen? Hand!" And put out his hand so she would hold it. Then he took her to the hallway to show the framed picture of himself! He cracks me up.
He also got a fun train station to add to his collection.
Thomas loves these little trains. He got Percy with the station. He calls Percy, "Peepees." It is funny! When he opened the box he saw Percy and said, "Peepees!!!"
Here is the little boys cake! I am no cake decorator like my sister, but it turned out ok and Thomas loved it!
Its fun to dig up cake with a digger!
Again, a blurry picture, but I had to include it! Last year, on his first birthday we thought it was so funny that he ate his cake like a dog. Well he did it again! Maybe this is just the best way to eat cake.
We love our Thomas boy and we are so glad he get so watch him grow up. I am the luckiest girl in the world, because I get to know this little boy better than anybody else, and he is so special!

I can't wait to see him! I'm going to try to win his heart away from Jen. Besides, a boy's heart should always belong to his Grammy.
You might want to take a look at the typo you made when you talked about the Thomas the Train shirt. :)
I loved these pictures. Thomas is such a cute little guy. It sounds like he is quite the little talker. Jonathan loves to talk (but only around us), but he hasn't started counting yet, and he isn't close to sentences.
I loved the story about Thomas' clock!
He is such a stud! I think his cake looks great! Sarah is always the best at cakes and puts mine to shame.:)
