My Funny Man

This boy is so darn funny. I wanted to document a few of the amusing things he has said or done lately so I don't forget about them.

Clint was saying a prayer before work the other day. Thomas always repeats whatever we say and then interjects his own elements as well. Clint prayed for energy for his long shift, Thomas repeated. Clint prayed for mama to have energy to take care of Thomas, Thomas repeated. Then he interjected, "Bless Thomas to have energy" We both had a good chuckle and agreed Thomas DOES NOT need additional energy.

Thomas calls nail clippers "nail boppers" He came across a picture of a bald eagle's talons in a book and said, "Needs big nail boppers!"

After his afternoon nap one day (Which are now a thing of the past) He woke up a little groggy and said, "Mama, Thomas needs a cookie." I know the feeling!

Clint got home from work a bit early one day and decided to go on a little jog. He usually takes Thomas in the jogging stroller so we can both get a little break.  Thomas got so excited, he went and got his "shorty shorts" as he calls them, put them on and went to the living room to do some stretches. Then the headed out the door and I watched as Clint tried to negotiated with Thomas to get in the jogger. Thomas had thought he was going to get to go jogging himself, not ride in the stroller. And he refused! So they compromised and ran laps around the back yard instead. I was really impressed with Clint's patience, and They both ended up having a good time.

One day, my visiting teachers were coming over, so I was trying to do some extra picking up of the house. Usually our house just looks like a tornado hit. As I went to clean up Thomas' pile of toys he said, "No Mama! That's MY big mess!"

One sunday during the passing of the sacrament Thomas noticed the lady behind us bite her fingernail. He exclaimed very loudly, "EWWW! Yucky! No Fingers in the mouth!" It was rather embarrassing! Luckily the gal was a good friend and had a good sense of humor about it.

What a funny little boy! He picked this flower, bent it in half and called it a crane! Only a little boy would think of that!

Thomas has transformed the nursing pillow into his snack caddy! I had to hide that away so that when the baby comes he won't try to steal it.

I have this little tripod that Thomas calls his "Robot" He likes to change its diaper!

Thomas likes to invite his trucks to meal time.
 Sharing his chocolate milk!
We went to a little farm near by and Thomas met this white horse named Maude. All day long afterwards Thomas kept saying, "Thank you white horse Maude! Goodbye Maude!"
For FHE last week we decided to play hide and seek. We both got a good chuckle out of Thomas' hiding place...
He thought he was so silly putting on his Papa's shorts!
This boy does not get tired of reading about construction equipment. It is funny because a large portion of these books end in the trucks building a playground.  Now when we see real construction equipment Thomas says, "Trucks building a playground!"

This is such a cute blog post. It will be fun for Thomas to read these someday.
