Outraged by the Decadance of Western Society!

At the risk of offending some of my blog viewers, I am going to state a bold opinion with this post. I know many of you don't feel the same way, but when I read this article on msn just now I could feel myself getting angry! I even started talking out loud to myself about how ridiculous it is. I will post the link for any of you who are interested. Basically a plastic surgeon wrote a children's book glamorizing plastic surgery called, My beautiful mommy. In the book (which in all fairness I only read the excerpts from the article) he takes the child through the journey of the mommy becoming "more beautiful" by getting a nose job, breast augmentation and a tummy tuck. It honestly just makes me sick to my stomach to think that women place so much of their value and identity on their physical appearance. what is this teaching children? and why does beauty have such narrow parameters? and what lengths will our future generations go to to feel like they are fitting into this category.
