Tiny Thomas, Five Months Old!

Can you believe this little guy is already 5 months old?? I think this is the month that it has finally hit me! Thomas is growing up way too fast! Next month he'll be 6 months (half a year old!!!) Before you know it, he will be turning one! And then only 17 more of those and he's a full fledged adult. Yikes! sniff sniff.
We are enjoying every minute of this little guy. Thomas is at a really fun stage right now, his little personality is just showing more and more everyday. We couldn't love our little boy more! Of course, he is just a handsome little devil, just like the day he was born. This boy is going to the first pick on every little girls mash list. He has really developed a lot in the last month or two. He is such a curious, alert little boy. Here are a few of the recent happenings:

Thomas discovered the playground! He loves the swing! he gets so excited, his little arms shake and he gets a big smile on his face. Its the cutest thing. Good thing we live right across the street from the park!
Thomas loves books! He really always has. Now I will just prop them up and he just loves to stare at the shapes and colors. Of course he also loves having stories told to him. He is so sweet.
Thomas has struggled with nap time. After reading many sleep books, he is improving and he is now taking his naps in his crib and falling asleep by himself. This is a huge milestone and I have noticed my stress level drop significantly. However, Thomas still only takes 30 minute naps.....unless he is in the big bed with mom. So for a temporary solution we have one nap together per day. Its pure bliss cuddling up to this little sweetie, and quite frankly I can use the rest too! it had been a long time since I was able to take naps! Sunday all three of us took one big long family nap. I loved it!
Either Thomas is trying to become a yoga guru attempting the downward facing dog or he is trying to figure out how to crawl! I know I can't believe it! He really wants to be mobile! He gets so frustrated just being stuck on the ground. He is going to be crawling before you know it!

Utah Trip Part Four: Our Mountain Home So Dear

One of the highlights of our trip was being so close to the mountains. We really miss the mountains a lot. We were able to go on a few hikes and several drives through the canyons, and we loved it! I think a good hike or mountain bike ride would be Clint's idea of the perfect way to relax. Flying over the state and looking out at the mountains just brings me so much joy! I truly feel in awe of the majesty and beauty that the mountains have. We were fortunate to see some beautiful wildlife as well! (Well, Clint saw the goat, but I saw the others! And so did Thomas.) Can't wait to get back to the mountains!
