First off....That mustache my husband is sporting is NOT a permanent fixture. He grew it for the medical residency match day. Its is his "Match-stache". Supposedly, all of his classmates were doing it, so I let him join in on the festivities. Turned out...only he and his good friend Mark seemed to have them...Oh and Bryce's peach fuzz. ANYWAY....Match day is a huge deal in your medical career. It is when you find out where you are going for your residency. Everyone gets an envelope with ONE place where you go. So today was the day that determined our future for the next three years...or at least where we will spending our future for that time. And drum-roll please...I'd like you to all feel an ounce of suspense that we all felt today....
Clint matched at Ohio State. So we will be staying here in Columbus for another three years. Ohio State has been a great program and Clint will get excellent training. I know that he will be a very very very good Doctor because of it. I am very proud of Clint and all his hard work. I don't know anyone who works harder then he does. I got a little chocked up just thinking of how happy for him I was, for all of his hard efforts paying off. I am a very luck girl to have such a intelligent, and hardworking husband.
While we are both a little sad that we will be away from home for a few more years we are happy that we can have:
our nice garden this year
not have to deal with the hassle of moving
get to eat at Jeni's ice cream for 3 more years. My favorite thing ever!
get to see our cute little backyard bunny Felix & the lovely cardinals flying around.
live in an amazingly beautiful community
be around our dear friends we have made out here
among other reasons...

Wow, congratulations. I know match day is a big deal for a lot of our friends this year. congratulations!!! And, I am totally jealous of the snow.
I am SOOO happy for you guys! I am a little selfish that I get to have you both for three more years. I think Clint is such a hard worker and a dedicated guy. You are both so lucky to have found each other. I am so excited for you! Way to go!
I'm so proud of Clint. Congrats to both of you. This has been a momentous year.
In June, I'm going to start every conversation with, "My son-in-law, the doctor says....." :)
Congratulations to Clint!
One more reason: It gives me more time to get myself out there for a visit...
(always thinking of me first) ;)
Peach fuzz my eye.
I hope Felix and all of his children eat your entire garden, Laurie!
Congratulations Clint and Laurie!
The accomplishment belongs to both of you! You should reconsider the mustache, Laure. A kiss without a mustache is like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without the peanut butter and jelly! However, only a few can grow them! Here's to you Doc! Ned and Barbara
I'm glad you'll be my neighbor for 3 more years!
How exciting! Glad you finally found out. What a great accomplishment for both of youl <3
I know we've already talked about this, but wish Clint my congratulations.
There are a lot of positives to this situation. Of course, I would have preferred to have you guys back home, but this is better than say...Iowa! No offense to any Iowa folk out there.
Congrats again to you both!! Laurie, I NEED TO CALL YOU!! I'm so bad. It's been such a crazy week, but I'll for sure call you this weekend! Anyway, to be totally honest, I'm bummed you won't be coming back to utah soon, but I know it's a huge accomplishment for Clint to get in the school he wanted, so I'm really happy for you guys! Promise me you'll come back and visit though! I miss you too much!
Maybe I will find time to visit before the next three years flies by! :)
