Clint and I drove to Toronto this last week to enjoy a complimentary vacation. Well, for me it was a complimentary vacation. He spent his days sitting through conferences while I explored the city, then we'd meet up in the late afternoon and explore more together. We had a very nice time and enjoyed the city, but as far as cities goes, it lacked that certain sparkle that makes a city really amazing. The art museums...good. The food...good. The market...good. The architecture...good. The conservatory....good. But none of it was amazing. But who am I to complain about a free trip? We had a grand old time and enjoyed the opportunity to spend time together and to explore new places. Also, this is the first international trip we have made together! The first of many to come! In fact we are going on our second international trip in just a few weeks, to Costa Rica! We are very excited about that.
We also got to see Niagara Falls on the way up to Toronto. It was quite the site to see and very lovely indeed. Sadly, we got there about 10 minutes too late to ride the boat under the waterfall, but we enjoyed walking around the park. One of the best things about living in Ohio is being such a short drive away from so many new adventures! Toronto was only about 6 1/2 hours away. I wonder where our next little road trip will be....
