Soccer

This fall we decided to enroll Thomas in his first soccer team.  The results were.....Interesting.....
He was super excited when we told him about it, but once it started he simply would not participate. AT. ALL. In fact Caroline was more of a participant at the beginning with practices and drills. Finally, for the last 2 games, he made an effort and played!
Here is a cutie little spectator
Thomas may not have taken to the game of soccer, but he sure can run fast!
He gets that from his dad
Most of the games, Thomas just hovered around the goal post. Regardless of where the other team was and how many other people were already tending the goal.

In the end, I was proud of this shaggy haired boy. Even though it started out patchy, he tried something new that was a bit intimidating to him. So cheers for that. And he was pretty happy to get a trophy out of it. His dad on the other hand has less than positive feelings about every kids getting a trophy no matter what! Regardless, the trophy was promptly destroyed by sister the next day. So theres that. :)

Ha ha! What an adventure. I wish they made those trophies stronger. I guess you know that you should enroll him in track and field when the time comes. :)
