Utah Trip Part Two:Tom's Best Friend

Truth be told, the saying "A boys best friend is his mother," can be left for the Norman Bates of the world. As for Tom, his best friend is his cousin Jonathan! I have been looking forward to coming to Utah since Thomas was born, because I couldn't wait for him to meet his cousin Jonathan! Thomas and Johnny are destined to become the best of friends! They were born only a week apart from each other, and they both came right on their due dates. Thomas and Jonathan are pretty much polar opposites so far, but hey that is what makes a great pair right? Tom is very serious and quite curious, Johnny is just a happy easy going little guy. They also look nothing alike! Who would have guessed their moms are sisters! But they are both just as cute as can be. I can't wait to see these little boys grow up together and get to know each other. They are already off to a great start, I think Thomas really liked Jonathan!
This picture cracks me up! Both Tommy and Johnny are a little unsure about being with grandpa, who is just oblivious!

Here is Tom, politely greeting his friend at my art show. Love his little scrunched eyebrows! I imagine the dialogue went a little like this, "Hello my friend. Did you make it out to the Picasso retrospective at the Met? No? Well, I do believe his later work was much lacking and a bit contrived. I myself prefer his Blue Period work above all else."
Thomas is such a curious little guy, and he loves babies. He just wanted to reach out and grab Johnny! And he did! It was the cutest thing ever! Doesn't it look like he is giving Jonathan a hug? Johnny is a little apprehensive. Also, notice how tall Jonathan is! He is a little baby giant! I don't think there is any chance for Thomas to be quite as big as his cousins Pete and Johnny...
Love those two little guys!
Thanks Sarah for the pictures!

If it was this fun this year, think how much fun it will be next!

They are very cute together. But I think that Thomas was talking about Van Gogh. ;)

Your family is so beautiful. I miss you!

I could not adore more the dialogue you have imagined up for Tom...how perfect! Next time you come to Utah I would love to see you.

Poor little Jonathan was so cranky in that last picture. He definitely needed the hug he got from Thomas. :) I asked Jonathan and he said that he prefers Picasso's blue period too.
